Riverway RV Park welcomes a new addition – our new Rec Center.

The 2,400-square-foot, wood-frame all-purpose building opens Oct. 1.

Our Rec Center features a meeting room with kitchen to accommodate 60 people, an area for playing cards and table games, a library, large laundry room (4 washers and 6 dryers to start), an exercise room and three private restrooms with showers.

The Rec Center will be great for RV rallies and our loyal Winter Texans who are beginning to find their way back to the Texas Hill Country.

The 47-site Riverway RV Park is a great location for Winter Texans and our rates are very affordable. Our Winter Texans Special is currently available for three months for $900 plus electric.

Once here, you can enjoy our great facilities, our great weather, the fishing in the Llano River (which flows by our park), bird watching, the Llano Golf Course (located just a half-mile away), the town of Llano located a mile away and everything else that makes it a wonderful place to visit.

It’s not too early to begin planning your next visit to the Texas Hill Country so why not spend it with us at our RV park. Please visit us on Facebook or our website at www.riverwayrvpark.com and plan to stay with us real soon.

Welcome to Riverway RV Park

Welcome to the inaugural blog for Riverway RV Park, a Winter Texan hotspot in the Texas Hill Country since we opened to the public in January 2012.

Our 20-acre park features 47 sites with full hookups and is located on the beautiful Llano River, one of our region’s greatest assets. Spring-fed and spectacular, the Llano flows east through the town of Llano and into Lake LBJ, allowing everyone in between to savor the currents.

Sharing the river with our bald eagles, herons, and kingfishers is a unique and incredible experience, and those who like to fish, kayak and play learn to appreciate nature in a wonderful way.  Because the Llano River is well kept from any major city, our waters make for a clear and dazzling morning, a soothing sunset and offer the brilliant bonus of an astounding light show at night.

We are only 1 mile from Llano, a truly unique Hill Country town, where you’ll find unique shops, great food and a beautiful Historic Courthouse.

We love to eat in the Hill Country!

Cooper’s Old Time Pit Barbecue on Highway 29 is known nationally for baiting visitors with its smoke from the huge outdoor pits. Cooper’s is a family-owned and operated restaurant that serves a taste of Texas Hill Country BBQ to people who understand that “It’s all about the meat.”

Inman’s Kitchen BBQ & Catering lures diners with their famous homemade turkey sausage. They also boast a full menu and claim to have been “smokin’ the good stuff since 1967.”

The park at Enchanted Rock just south of Llano boasts a captivating batholithic granite dome that beckons hikers of all ages and levels. From the Summit, visitors get a breathtakingly unobstructed Hill Country view that justifies this area’s name. The Native American mystery and Texas Ranger history that surround it create a unique allure to this ancient and beautiful land now open to the public.

We’re also just a half-mile from the Llano Golf Course. Be sure to check out our golf packages. You also can enjoy Roadrunner Trail and enjoy nature at its best.

This is just a taste of what we have to offer in the Hill Country. We’ll explore more about our region and our park in future blogs. Please visit us on Facebook or our website at www.riverwayrvpark.com and plan to stay with us real soon.
